Research On The Development Strategy Of Shitai County In Anhui Province With The Tourism-orientation

In recent years, the tourism small town construction comes to a climax with the tourismdevelopment, especially those poor mountain towns. The rich traveling resource is prerequisite todevelop tourism towns that have wonderful natural views and variable culture and customs. As aspecial areal unit, many problems restrict the tourism development of mountain towns such asweak economic basis, irrational industrial structure, fragile ecologic environment, lacks of talentand money, heavy employment pressure and so on. So, according to the study of small mountaintown, it is available to explore the tourism’s function in driving the development of the mountaintown and to find a way of sustainable development which is adaptable for mountain towns. Thegrowing national tourism becomes the primary impetus behind the urbanization of mountaindistricts. Therefore, it has important principle and practical value to research the mountaintourism towns.Firstly, this thesis mainly talks about the small mountain town Shitai County. With theresearch on the achievement at both home and abroad, it is concluded that the Shitai County isthe very place for developing tourism town in terms of tourism resource, social background andeconomic impact of tourism. Secondly, many problems among the tourism development of ShitaiCounty are analysed. The achievement of this paper has the extensive applicability because theproblems above are commonly found in the same kind mountain towns in our country. Thengiven an example how Wuyuan develops tourism town, the tourism’s promotion on thedevelopment of towns is illustrated from aspects of economy, society and environment protection.About the problems in development of Shitai County, the developmental direction, exploitationstrategy, methods of planning design and management are provided borrowing ideas from theconstruct strategy of Wuyuan. Finally, started with the theory development course and practicalresearch, the future development strategy of the mountain tourism towns is provided in order thatthey can keep vigorous permanently and develop lastingly combined the successful experience intourism town construction at both home and abroad with the achievement Shitai explores todevelop tourism town.
