Problems And Strategies For Up-gradation Of Ningcheng Mushroom Industry

Ningcheng County’s mushroom industry is already of a certain development scale, with itsdominant varieties and multi-structured products, and satisfied pluralistic market demandsand also becomes an important source of income generation for farmers. Ningchengmushroom industry, however, has some problems with itself, such as unbalanced developmentin the whole county, less standardized production and lack of in-depth processing, which hasbecome the barriers to the up gradation of the mushroom industry with Ningcheng.Based on the learning of the facts in mushroom industry research as well as theoriesconcerning the industry extension, up gradation, competition, clustering and merge,Ningcheng mushroom industry has experienced a process integrating the internal elementclustering, adapting to changing industrial environment and increasing its capacity ofinnovation, which by nature, is the industry up gradation. In light of the problems existed,some measures for mushroom industry development was suggested:(i) Ningcheng mushroom industry development should give much stress on the westernmountainous region of the county, with side development of hilly area and flat area.(ii) Ningcheng county should strengthen the technical research and development concerningthe mushroom industry, with respects to the capacity building, processing technology andintegrated development.(iii) Ningcheng county should strengthen the product brand strategies in order to stabilize itsadvantageous position in the whole country, especially in the north of China.(iv) Ningcheng county should pay attention to transferring production pattern to economical,environmentally-friendly and cyclic style to make sure of the mushroom resources utilizationon a sustainable basis.
