A Study On The Improvement Of Project Cost Management System And The Solutions Of Related Problems Of Company A

With the continuous development of the national economy, the professional designinstitute market is facing increasingly fierce competition. Therefore, the average profitdecreased. Under this circumstance, enterprises try to establish an engineering corporationwith design as main part by operation transformation, in order to adapt to market. As anengineering company, to strengthen project cost management, to upgrade projectmanagement level and to calculate the cost continuously, the costs and expenses would bereduced. At the same time, to meet the requirements of the engineering quality conditions,while to achieve the purpose of lower cost and shorter construction period, the project’seconomic and social interests would be improved.The main content of this thesis is the study on the project management of Company A,by using related theories of project management and cost management comprehensively.Firstly, in practical terms, the present situation of project management and the problems inthe process of Company A were introduced. The analysis methods included but not limited tousing examples, the combination of theory and reality and the combination of qualitative andquantitative. The core contents of the problems are imperfect cost management system,discordant assumption of rights and obligations, unscientific cost control measures anddefective evaluation method, as well as indeterminate reward and punishment system. Inaddition, the pattern of project management is relatively backward. Secondly, according tothe above problems, this thesis discussed how to establish a scientific cost managementsystem. On this issue, we should set up a cost control system with a project manager as thecore factor. Meanwhile, the establishment of specialized agencies of cost management isnecessary, in order to facilitate research on cost management. As the result, the projectmanagement would be improved.
