Since reform and opening-up, FDI in our country increased year by year, and Chinagradually become the world’s absorption of foreign direct investment in the most countries.The inflows of foreign capital provides an important driving force to accelerate the economicdevelopment of China. Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is an important coastal economic zone innorth China, its superior location advantages attract a large number of foreign capital. Foreigndirect investment and the adjustment of industrial structure optimization ofBeijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has intrinsic linkage effect. The increase amount of foreigncapital utilization and accumulation in a country or a region, storing energy for industrychange and evolution; And evolution of industrial structure will affect the investmentenvironment of the country or region, then attract the foreign capital investment flows. InBeijing-Tianjin-Hebei, foreign direct investment and industrial structure evolution, influenceeach other during the promotion of industrial structure optimization and upgrade.As a major national strategy,the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei canpromote to realize the complementary advantages of each region, and the construction of theBohai sea economic zone. It plays a decisive role in China’s economic growth. Industrysynergy is the key of the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,and theoptimization and upgrade are the common mission of the three districts. To promote thecoordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei industry must considerate the unbalancedeconomic development, the relatively independent industrial division, the obvioushomogenized competition, and the present situation of the low level of industry collaboration.Speed up the process of cracking the obstacles in cooperative mechanism of system, with thehelp of linkage effect of foreign direct investment and industrial structure optimization, andthe strength of foreign investment, to promote regional internal industry layout and theoptimization and upgrading of industrial structure.The paper based on the inner linkage effect in foreign direct investment and industrialstructure, analyses the impact of FDI on the adjustment of industrial structure optimization ofBeijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. First of all, the paper introduce the related theory of foreigndirect investment and industrial structure, including foreign direct investment theory, industrial structure evolution theory, and the two adjustment relations theory. Secondly, withthe current situation of foreign direct investment and industrial structure inBeijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, analyses the characteristics of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei in thecoordinated development of industry and the existing problems objectively, and combinedwith the coordinated development planning illustrates the foreign direct investment canpromote the industrial structure to be rationalization, efficiency and advanced. Then, using thepanel data model to test the influence degree of foreign direct investment of the industrialstructure of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. It is concluded that foreign direct investment hasoptimization impact on industrial structure of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, FDI has played apositive role. Finally, based on the comparative advantage of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, from theangle of the three districts, this article put forward countermeasures and suggestions on howto use foreign direct investment to promote industrial docking and solve the optimizationproblem of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
