Research And Analysis On Vehicle Classification Method And Standardization

Vehicle classification is an important basis for the government to make and execute policies in automobile industry management, such as national production system access, mandatory test, consistency check, vehicle registration, service access, tax collection, compulsory end-of-life, data statistics, etc. with the development of Chinese automotive industry, more and more international communication occur, while the different automotive terminologies makes it difficult to communicate with each other in the international communication.With the rapid development of Chinese automotive industry, china has become into the largest country at automotive production in the world. Automotive becomes more and more individual, special and diverse. There are more and more types of automobile, the government faces more and more difficulties to make policies. There are several national and industrial standards of vehicle classification. They are used on manufacturing period, vehicle registration, service access. etc. while the vehicle classification methods are different, it causes a certainty ungear and confusion. So the classification method should be unified to eliminate the mistake.This dissertation tracks the development of vehicle classification method in the foreign countries, such as America. Japan. Europe, etc. And it focuses on several classification method and standards, seeks the difference among them. It mainly analysis the difference of classification standards of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Transport. Department of Conservation, the treasury department and the Commerce Department, etc. According to the industry management demand of government, combing the characteristics of our vehicle, considering the international coordination, it put out the revision suggestions of current vehicle classification standards.such as according the different purpose like new product certification, common terminology, make sure the scope of standard, combining with government management and the public view, let the standard system dependent and not conflict, connect of tracks of international standards, but reflect the characteristics of Chinese vehicles. The result of this paper will put out basic data for the revise of Chinese vehicle classification standards in the future.
