With the development and growth of liaohe oilfield, Liaohe Oilfield Mining establishes and develops, and it has played an important role in safeguarding the basis of mining for China’s petroleum and petrochemical industry and the development of Liaohe Oilfield. Whether in the hard phase, or in the market economy, as liaohe oilfield’s "logistics" and "camp", has always played an important role in safeguarding, the mine services system of liaohe oilfield has always played an important role in safeguarding the basis of mining.But with the continuing development of the market economy and growth of the scale mining, the existing service system can not adapt to the actual needs of the mining area, and also affect the normal mining operation of other productive sectors and mining’s harmony and stability, and can not meet the service requirements of all aspects of mine. In this situation, managers urgently need to reengineer the existing business process of Liaohe Oilfield Service System by using the theories of business process reengineering (BPR), for improving the efficiency of mining service system, improving the service environment, reducing cost, and keeping high service satisfaction rate.This paper firstly introduces the background, the research topic, the research objectives and the papers frame structure of the paper. Then this paper reviews the oversea and domestic literatures related to business process reengineering were summarized, and expounds the related theory of business process reengineering. And then the paper analyzes the existing business processes of Liaohe Oilfield Service System and points out some problems in them. Finally the paper uses the theory of BPR to optimize and reconstruct the business processes of Liaohe Oilfield Service System, and offers a restructure scheme for Liaohe Oilfield.In the oilfield service system like Liaohe Oilfield, promoting process reengineering service is necessary for oil enterprises to realize comprehensive development, to add energy, to increase economic and social return and to fulfill their strategic goals. The author hopes that the research in these areas in this paper can make some contributions for the oilfield service system practicing operation process reengineering.
