Research On Labor Market Characteristics And Its Influence Factors In Zhejiang Province

The operation and development of labor market in China has been subject to academic concerns, but most research targeted at the national labor market, ignoring the differences in regional labor markets, and regional labor market. As a system innovation province, the private economy in Zhejiang province accounted for a large proportion. The labor market of Zhejiang province would be effected by the private economy, and has its features. There’s few academic research about this issue. This article is based on this object, by comparing and econometric analysis to reveal the characteristics of the labor market in Zhejiang, research into the causes and effects.This paper firstly compared Zhejiang labor market with the national labor market in employing units nature, industry structure industry distribution, jot type, education degree and career skills, hoping to obtain the differences between Zhejiang province labor market and national labor market; then, make Zhejiang province labor market and Jiangsu province labor market for horizontal comparison, obtaining the regional differences of Zhejiang province labor market in similar area; then selecting private economic, urbanization degree, economic outgoing degrees, technological advances and other factors as explanatory variables to establish the panel data model, analyzing the impact of various factors on Zhejiang labor market, revealing the causes of various features of the labor market in Zhejiang province.Research results show that Zhejiang province’s labor market characteristic as follows:1.the labor market expanded rapidly,high speed of changes in supply and demand;2.labor demand is highly concentrated in labor-intensive industries;3.upgrading workforce quality lags industry upgrade;4.imported labor became the main supplier of labor market. Empirical results showed that:system is the main factor that formed Zhejiang labor market features. Private economic natural of market property led to Zhejiang economic expansion quickly, and high change rate about labor supply and demand; natural endowment constraint led to imported labor share larger; urbanization degree, economic outgoing degree and local government financial spending direction, having a positive effect on labor market scale; technology progress has no effect on labor market.Zhejiang labor market features have many influences on the development of Zhejiang economy. Finally, based on the conclusions, this paper put forward some suggestions for optimization of Zhejiang labor market.
