Research On The Development Strategy Of Commercial Bank’s Wealth Management Business In China

China’s wealth management market is of huge potential. The current concern for domestic commercial banks is how to seize the opportunity, winning itself a place in the fierce market competition of the wealth management business. Foreign commercial banks have been considering wealth management business and other rechargeable financial services as a strategic focus on sustainable development, injecting in which resources of best quality. Wealth management business in China’s commercial banks started late, so we can’t totally apply the model of asset management and consulting to high-end customers to manage customer relationship. In contrast, commercial banks in Europe and America have been committed to the development and improvement of wealth management business for several decades, and have accumulated a lot of experience of mature operation which can be drawn as references by increasing the proportion of its profits and improving the business structure. Therefore, it is of current urgent to investigate and resolve the issue that to combine mature experience and advanced concepts of European and American commercial banks with China’s national conditions, and to find a proper business model and path which is suitable for wealth management business in China’s commercial banks.Starting with wealth management business in commercial banks, firstly, it introduces the research meaning and literature review of wealth management business and outlines relevant theory and its applications. Secondly, it highlights present situation of and challenges for wealth management business in domestic commercial banks. It learns from advanced advantages of foreign banks in organization, brand strategy, platform construction, product innovation and personnel training to explore feasible development strategies and operational optimization measures of wealth management center of Chinese-funded banks.
