Research Of Developmental Strategy Of The Container In Dalian Port

Located in the southern part of Liaotung Peninsul,Dalian Port is in Dalian Bay. Dalian Port has natural advantages of broad deep water, no frozen and unblocked shipping for cargo ships.Recent years,container business in Dalian International Shipping Center developed fast. Throughput in port reached10,000,000containers in standard size in2013, but the speed of quality is not equal to the speed of the growth rate.According to international and national economy situation in recent years,the decision of putting forward and promoting the northeast old industrial base clearly is made by the Party Central Committee and the State Council. Therefore Dalian has the opportunity to be built and become an important northeast international shipping center. According to this decision, Liaoning province has the opportunity to accelerate the development of local ports. PDA stage goal is to building Dalian Port into a multi-functional, all-round, modern international strong port. But PDA container business is facing a severe test. Because the degree of opening up of the northeast region is not high and the industrial structure is simple,the economic situation of Dalian Port is going worse year by year, compared with overall national economy, the the economy proportion is still small. Products from northeast of China have split flow to other ports in Liaoning Province.The neighbor ports in Shandong are superior to Dalian, the national ports compete strongly, and international financial situation is not good, making exports of containers declined.This article analyzes the container on the development course and the present situation at home and abroad firstly, then discusses the present situation of container business of Dalian port, and points out its deficiency at the same time, and analyzes and predicts container throughout, finally provides suggestions for the development of Dalian Port container.
