Research Of The PMO On The W Science And Technology Industrial Park

With the rapid development of the global economy, project management as a rapidly developing branch management, has been vigorously promoted in China. This thesis is an application for the project management theory and models in the government-led project. The thesis first analyzes the project management model-PMO, and combine with W Technology Industrial Park project’s actual conditions to design a project. Then study the specific implementation of PMO in the project and the role of PMO in managing the project effectively and efficiently.Firstly, according to the characteristics of W Technology Industrial Park, the thesis combs and discusses the science and technology industrial park concepts, then review the developing of project and project management, as well as the the status of project management literature review, after that, focus on the project management model, especially, the PMO model. Finally, thesis provides the establishment and operation of the PMO and the optimization plan, which includes:first through the analysis of the environment of W Science and Technology Industrial Park, the background of the entire project has been understood completely. Second, after full consideration of all kinds of factors, the PMO framework of W Science and Technology Industrial Park project is formulated. The content of PMO management is analyzed. Then establish a PMO position table. There are nine categories of staffs in this table, including the PMO Director, Integrated Management Department, methodology experts, communication coordinator and so on. Finally, the thesis studies the operational status of PMO in W Science Technology Industrial Park project, basically throughout the entire process of the project. From a practical point of view on the operation of the effect of PMO by observation and feedback, the plan of PMO for the entire project accomplishing on schedule playes a very important role. Furthermore, the thesis find that, PMO in operation still has some problems, so the thesis puts forward some optimization proposals for the PMO.
