Regional economic interaction is always an important content in research of economic geography and regional economic. Based on the matlab and the shortest distance matrix between the Yangtze river delta 25 cities, which is obtained by gravity model describing the regional interaction strength, we measure the strength of the economic interaction and membership degree in Yangtze river delta region, analysis Shanghai’s external economic interaction of temporal and spatial characteristics, and try to determine the direction of regional major economic interaction.The first chapter is an introduction, mainly introduces the background and significance, research ideas, etc. In this article, focus on reviewing the relevant inter-regional economic links between theoretical research, including research contents and purpose of economic ties. Nanjing and Hangzhou have weak inter-provincial economic impact, whose central position needs to be enhanced. The economic interaction between the urban circle of Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou and Shanghai is tight. According to the measurement and comparison of regional economic interaction, the recognition of main economic relation direction in the entire province not only benefit to the clarification of regional economic development of spatial orientation but also benefit to the coordination of economic interaction and cooperation within and across regions.Therefore, this article from the stimulating effect of the Yangtze River Delta on China’s economic development and its own momentum problem starting the intensity measured by the study of the economic ties between the regions concerned have been combing the paper will determine the gravity model as a basis for analysis, while the application of nodal analysis and reach ability analysis of economic ties and membership strength between various cities in Yangtze River Delta was calculated.
