The Research Of Industry Spillover Effect Of Gansu

In order to avoid the middle-income trap and increase the economic growth momentum, under the condition of labor dividend gradually reduce and tight resources, the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure become a new economic development mode. To a certain extent, industry spillover improves the level of regional industrial advanced. Spillover comes from the Western concept of economic externalities, positive spillover able to reduce production costs and achieve economies of scale. The agglomeration of the region in space produces Marshall externalities and improve the overall efficiency level of regional development. The industry spillover is mainly through the spillovers and by the overflow of side to make an effect, the higher the industrial similarity degree between the two regions, the stronger regional industry spillover effect is, regional financial and tax policy and the establishment of industrial park can promote industrial spatial spillover effects.Based on discussion of industry spillover, this thesis first analyze the present situation of Gansu industry, it is found that, the pulling power of the first industry is relatively stable and has less effect, the pulling power of the secondary industry is still relatively strong, the tertiary industry is also maintained at a moderate level, compared to the national level, the pulling power of Gansu’s first, second and tertiary industries below the national level. Among various industrial sectors, energy and metal processing industry is still dominant and pillar industries in Gansu, which provides opportunities and challenges of Gansu to optimize and adjust industry, the opportunity is Gansu still has much space for adjustment of industrial structure, the challenge is only relying on market to solve the problem of resource allocation will not work due to the influence of development path and adjustment of industrial structure. In this thesis, through a vector auto regression model we analyze the role and influence of economic development and industrial structure, economic development is the Granger cause of industrial structure advanced, but the adjustment of industrial structure effect on the economic development is not significant, pulse response function shows that when the industrial structure and economic growth fluctuating, they will produce positive effect on each other. At present the development of economy in Gansu is rapid, third industry proportion also has improved to a certain extent, but for the economic development of pulling power is still lower than the second industry, service industry and only the amount of increase, there is no qualitative improvement. The industrial structure is extremely unbalanced in the space, the high degree of industrial structure is mainly concentrated in the southeast of Gansu, the spatial effect of the industrial is not obvious in Hexi area. This thesis use spatial econometric model to analyze the degree and direction of industry spillover and find that the industry level in spatial spillover is negative, between county industry did not form a positive spillover cycle, on the one hand is learning effect and simple economic growth indicators hinder the optimization and adjustment of industrial structure, the effect of market allocating resources between industries is not obvious, we need government regulate economy vigorously and financial support to promote the upgrading of the industrial structure level. Further promote the level of industry spillover in space, and promote the process of industrial advanced, through the adjustment of economic structure to promote the development of economy.
