Urbanization is the tendency of human civilization and progress, has become a worldwide social phenomenon of urbanization in developed countries has stabilized, while China’s urbanization is still in a state of accelerated development. Because many of China’s population and the high-speed economic development, the development of Chinese cities attracted international attention. In the development process in the city, inevitably there will be a series of problems, such as population, environmental issues, economic issues and social issues, and cross-cutting issues between these superimposed make increasingly serious urban problems. Jiangxi is the hinterland of the Yangtze River economic belt and the Beijing-Kowloon Economic Belt, and full of economic vitality of China Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and Fujian Economic Zone adjacent. In "Rise of Central China" strategic policy support, the level of urbanization in Jiangxi province still can not reach the national average level of urbanization, urbanization is also more other central provinces slow process of urbanization, urban development encountered in a wide range.Based on the understanding of quality of urban development on the basis of theoretical knowledge, quality connotation of urban development from the start, try to choose a scientific evaluation, the use of factor analysis from 2002 to 2012 quality of urban development in Jiangxi index system, using cluster analysis Methods 2002, the quality of urban development in 2008, in 2012 three time node will be graded, looking for quality change the trajectory of urban development. Research results were as follows:(1) Lower the overall quality of urban development in Jiangxi Province. By 2002-2012 urban development quality assessment shows that urban development is generally low quality score the last decade, as the capital city of Nanchang has a leading position in the province, but its highest score of only 4.59 points; at the middle level of Ganzhou and Jiujiang City scores fluctuate within 2-4 points; the remaining nine cities scored less than 2 minutes, especially in Yichun City-1 point score has been below the lowest score of -4.79 points. Urban Development Quality Score and the urbanization rate levels vary greatly, indicating the rapid development of urbanization rate level does not represent the quality of the rapid development of urban development, urban development, there is a clear process of "re-light volume," the phenomenon of urbanization and quality of urban development did not achieve the appropriate coordination.(2) The quality of urban development in Jiangxi Province uneven distribution within the region, large regional differences, the two core regions in Nanchang in Jiangxi as the center of the northern region and in Ganzhou in southern Jiangxi as the center and the regions in Jiangxi Ji’an City, Fuzhou City, and other differentiation is large, up to a maximum score gap 9.29, showing a "north-south high, middle low" spatial pattern changes rung.(3) Differences in economic development is the result of urban development gaps quality the most important factor in Jiangxi Province, accelerate the city’s economic development is a key factor to improve the quality of urban development.
