Research On Status And Development Countermeasures Of Guangxi Cassava Alcohol Industry

By using consulting data, field investigation, and other methods, the paper investigates and analyzes the situation of cassava alcohol industry in Guangxi. The main results are as follows:(1) As raw material of cassava alcohol industry, cassava in Guangxi exists the following problems: the planting area of cassava is small, cassava’s proportion of crop is low, cassava’s variety degenerates, new varieties of cassava spreads slow, cassava management is extensive, farmers’ planting enthusiasm on cassava is not high, yield of cassava is low, and industry scale of cassava is low. The climate and soil in Guangxi is suitable for the growth of cassava. Cassava cultivation has a long history in Guangxi, and cassavas are planted throughout the region. Farmers also have the habit of planting cassavas. Cassava alcohol industry has developed for many years in Guangxi. A number of cassava ethanol factories are built, and their benefits are significant.(2)The problems that Guangxi cassava alcohol industry emerges is mainly as follows. a. Governments at all levels didn’t enough attention to the cassava industry, and it hasn’t been truly listed in the fast lane of Guangxi economic development. b. Cassava planting area is small, cultivation technology is backward, and yield is low. c. Cassava raw material is short, and production efficiency is instable. d.The technology innovation ability of enterprise is weak, and the economy of cassava ethanol hasn’t been sufficiently aware. e. Producing and processing technology of cassava ethanol is backward, and the problem of environmental pollution remains to be solved.In order to deal with the problems that cassava alcohol industry turned in Guangxi, the paper proposed the following countermeasures. (1) Ensuring adequate supply of raw cassava; (2) Developing new technology to improve the production technology of cassava alcohol; (3) Reasonably regulating the development scale of cassava alcohol industry; (4) Optimizing cassava alcohol industry chain; (5) the government should increase policy supports on cassava alcohol industry, pay attention to the combination of production, formulate reasonable development strategy for cassava alcohol industry, improve cassava planting, storage and technical problems encountered in the production process of cassava alcohol.
