Study On The Influence Factors Of Structured Financial Product Yield

With China’s economic growth and increased income, investment is one of the topic that residents concern, and bank financial products is one of the main investment means for current residents. With high income and flexible investment target selection, structured financial products have become a hot choice for investors. When investors make their choice, yield is undoubtedly the most important factor. But, most investors don’t know about structured financial products very well, what is more, they have no any idea about the yield problem of structured products. Therefore, the study of the factors that may impact structured products’yield is very important and meaningful.In this paper, the study object is the factors that may impact structured financial products. With retrospect the development of China’s banking products market and detailed description of structured products market, based on theoretical level analysis, we find out several factors that impact yield, including issuing bank、interest rate、 product maturity and underlying assets. Based on the data of 224 structured products issued on the market in2013 as a sample, we build a multiple linear regression model and research the influence of each factor. The biggest factor is interest rate, and issuing bank factor has big impact on yield of structured products. The influence of target and maturity is limited.At last, based on the conclusions of this study, we give investors some inspiration: try to choose short-term products、choose their own familiar underlying assets、and focusing on interest rate risk. At the same time, we also put forward some suggestions for the future development of structured financial products market.
