Research and analysis of the correlation between regional industrial agglomeration and regional technology innovation could exert the important influence on China’s industrial upgrading, enhancing regional technical innovation and developing a more rational regional industrial policy, which are related to the sustainable development of China’s economy and international industrial competition capability. In this thesis, according to the previous research results obtained by the scholars at home and abroad, I select the panel data of China’s 30 provinces between 2007-2011, and use Eviews 6.0 statistical analysis software for multiple regression, and take advantage of the Cobb-Douglas production function in logarithmic form, to conduct the empirical analysis of the correlation of the industrial agglomeration structure characteristics (specialization and diversification) with the regional technological innovation capability, as well as to have a in-depth discussion about the impact of others factors (FDI, Openness and other controls) involved in the model. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) Industrial Agglomeration has a positive impact on regional innovation. Two different kinds of industrial clustering structure (diversification and specialization) can promote technological innovation activities; especially the specialization of industrial agglomeration structure exerts more significant impact on technological innovation activities.(2) Openness and FDI also have significant correlation with the regional technology innovation. This means when the local government want to promote the local innovation ability, these factors should also be considered.
