The Present Status And Improvement Of Human Resources Management In Wuhan Downtown Hotels

The hotel industry in China was one of the first industries to enjoy the benefits of China’s reform and opening-up policy which was launched in 1980s. As a service sector, hotel industry has experienced from infancy to soaring growth in past three decades. However, comparing with matured century-old hotel groups in developed countries we still has a long way to go in terms of business management and in particular, human resources management. The industry has become aware of these problems and an increasing number of hotels endeavor to raise level of management by pouring resources in research and analysis. As a result, a few hotel groups with excellent business management such as Jinjiang and Jinling have emerged. As Wuhan’s economy develops over the years, the number of hotels has been growing steadily and human resources management has come into the spot light.
