Performance evaluation has important significances for the management of every enterprise since it is an important part of human resource management system. However, to build and improve a mature performance appraisal system is a new direction for the whole performance management field, and is one of the indispensable parts. In the process of the implementation of performance appraisal, these who are assessed can know their problems through the performance feedback. In addition, it can help them to understand better the business goals. In this way, they can constantly adjust their goals in order to finish their goals and finally realize the predetermined targets of their business.In the past, performance evaluation has not been paid attention to by managers. Instead, they only regard the evaluation as a powerful weapon to control their employees, ignoring the positive effects that can be brought about by the performance appraisal. Nowadays, more and more managers are aware of this point and performance appraisal has become an important part in the process of human resources management of enterprises, which is closely related with the survival and development of enterprises.Since the setting up of the company, the performance management system in AS marketing company has been used for 10 years. In the process of use, it has not been optimized and improved. With the increasing competition in the market and the continuous development and expansion of AS company, the previous old performance management system cannot meet the need of development of AS company nowadays. In this paper, on the basis of the present advanced human resource management theory and performance management theory, the author takes the Shanghai AS marketing company as the research object and has a thorough analysis of the current performance appraisal system of it. In addition, the problems in the practice process will be summarized and the principles of performance management system construction will be clarified through combing theory with reality. At the same time, combining with the characteristics of AS itself and the problems in the current development process, an employee erformance management system that can adapt to the present development situation of AS marketingcompany and the strategic objectives in the future will be set up.
