The Exploration And Research Of The Constructive Issues On Jinan Urban Public Toilets

It goes without saying that urban infrastructure is the guarantee of the normally organized city and the significant support to show the image of city. As an important part of urban infrastructure, urban public toilet is the product of social development to a certain stage. From a certain extent, its construction level reveals the social and civilized city, and reflects the city. The construction of urban public toilet is also improving urban civilization, urban environment, and the quality of residents to affect the development of society. So we can say that urban public toilet is indeed necessary to construct and develop modern city.This thesis include the following five chapters:In the first chapter, with the importance of public toilets and facing problems as the writing background, the article introduced some research methods, such as reference consulting, field research, comparison and contrast and so on. And then it pointed out the innovation of the article that we have surveyed all the urban public toilets in Jinan, which is the most detailed investigations in Jinan by now as we know. Moreover, combined with GIS technology, network platform of digital urban management, real estate supporting sanitation examination and the overall planning of Jinan in the next three years, the article discussed urgent problems existed in the construction of public toilets, in order to meet the need of the public and improve our living environment.In the second chapter, with the beginning of the concept and origin public toilets, the article reviewed the development history of public toilets both at home and abroad, which can make us realize that it’s closely related to our people’s produce and living. With the comparisons of public toilets in China and America, Japan and other developed countries, the article has concluded some common problems about modern public toilets in China in three aspects, the shortage of public toilets, the unreasonable layout and the ignorance of the service function respectively, which is far behind the construction standard.In the third chapter, considering the real construction status of public toilets in Jinan, the article firstly expounded the development history of Jinan modern public toilets. Secondly, we introduced the construction status of public toilets in Jinan, and made data statistics on both numbers and types of public toilets. At last, combined with the current situation in the construction of toilets in Jinan, we analyzed the unique characteristic of these toilets. Besides, it put forward the shortage, the unreasonable layout and the low construction standard of the public toilet. By means of questionnaire, the article analyzed reasons for different problems, and provided appropriate solutions.In the fourth chapter, the article put efforts to solve real problems about the construction of public toilets. Firstly, we put forward strategies for the shortage of public toilets from four aspects:Usage of the "Real estate projects supporting sanitation audit" means effectively, various measures to solve public toilets’location problems, establishing the "special work leading group of Public toilet construction" by the municipal government and adhering to the "Toilet open alliance" Secondly, the article put forward proposal schemes for site selection of public toilets from drawing up the 《Special planning of public toilets in Jinan》 and the application of digital management. At last, it gave us a strategy research about improving standard levels of public toilets in Jinan through improving public toilets standardization management and the latrine pit in the city; and expanding sources of funds.In the fifth chapter, we made the conclusion of this thesis. The toilet is so small for people’s livelihood, but it reflects the major problems in society. Only handle properly the "small" difficult things, can we promote the modernization of the city, which is benefit for building the harmonious, civilized and prosperous society. The article further concluded that the construction problems on public toilets reflect the big contradiction with urban environment, which need us to choose scientific and effective strategy plan, and need the participation and joint efforts of the whole society. In the end of the article, we put forward higher outlook for construction development of the public toilet in the future.
