Compared with the traditional transport, drayage can set transportation and handling procedure apart, adding the working time of tractors vastly and reducing the waiting time of tractors. Besides, drayage decreases the fuel consumption and have the advantage of energy saving and emission reduction. Ro-ro drayage transportation combine Ro-ro transportation and drayage, which is the important part of comprehensive transportation system in our country. It can solve low efficiency, congestion and other problems.The application of Ro-ro drayage transportation is in a fledging period in China. At present, China and South Korea routes, Yantai and Dalian routes and Yangtze river have begin to apply this transportation mode. Ro-ro drayage transportation in Weifang and Yingkou route have already entered the stage of discussion. In order to promote the development of Ro-ro drayage transportation, the optimization research of tractor routes is the important issue, which needs to be resolved urgently in the drayage field now.The thesis studies the container routing optimization of land-ocean transportation in the Ro-ro drayage mode, the innovation of the thesis is to combine drayage and Ro-ro transportation and study the container routing optimization problem of Ro-ro drayage transportation. The thesis is organized in the following way. Firstly, the concepts and classifications about container routing optimization of land-ocean transportation are introduced, and the solving algorithms of routing optimization problems are stated in details. Secondly, the thesis analyzes features, operation aspects and implementation conditions of Ro-ro drayage transportation. Then, the multiple objective function is set, and simulated annealing algorithm is designed in order to solve the optimization problem. Finally, a case study of Ro-ro transportation in circum-Bohai area is proposed, and the container optimal routing is solved. At the same time, Weifang and Yingkou routes are introduced into the case study, which are still at the theoretical study stage. This practice can provide references for decision-makers.
