The Research Of Regional Central City’s Economic Growth Of Science And Technology Innovation

With the development of foreign trade and industrial economy during these years,central city is becoming an important driving force and innovation promoter for Chinese regional economy.As the Central City in southwestern China, Chengdu is representing an remarkable model as the center of high-tech,commerce, IT,transportation including modern manufacturing,serviceindustry and agriculture. On the other hand, Chengdu is also on the way to transform the patterns of its intra-county economic development and improve the sustainability,the vitality and the competitiveness among southwestern China.Leading by the CPC during the Eighteenth National Congress, the further implementation of innovation driven development strategy must be high-tech innovation which would take the core position of the whole picture. It would be a strategic support to improve the social productive forces and overall national strength.Under such wave of innovation driven, Chengdu is bounded to have endless opportunities and rapidly become worthy of the name as the regional central city. So here come the questions. How to make sure Chengdu could timely and accurately catch up those opportunities through this vigorously implementation of innovation driven. And how to make sure Chengdu could give full play of its advantages of regional resources and economy and strive to build the core growth pole of the western economy. In additional, for Chengdu itself, how to promote the city construction. I believe you will find those answers under my deep investigation in the following papers.This paper intends to start from the study of the rate of contribution to the economic growth,from the view of scientific and technological innovation and economic development from the perspective of the relationship and internal logic. Analysis quantitative of regional economic development from the angle of innovation of science and technology by establishingthe technological innovation and economic promotion growth model. Here come the propose ideas and suggestions for regional central city construction of Chengdu by setting the technology innovation as the core of the explanatory variables,and combing with the specific history andsituation for the development of thiscity.This paper mainly involves the following five parts:(1) Introduction. Clarify the background of the dissertation and the premise and the significance of this study, so as to the methods for coming research.(2)Review of the literature. Discuss how to promote the development of Chengdu from the point of economic development is promoted by technical innovation.(3)Empirical analysis based on promotion contributed by technological innovation to the city economic development. Measure the progress rate of contribution to science and technology on economic growth by Cobb-Dauglas production function. And based through three different indicators of scientific and technological innovation to measure their influence on economic growth. This is one of the key essence of this thesis.(4)Advantage analysis based on promotion contributed by technological innovation to the city constructiondevelopment. Put forwardthose weaknesses based on the analysis of the technology innovation demonstrationcity of Chengdu and also compared with the rest five districts processing results of the regionalcentral cities. Meanwhile make a brief analysis of the innovation strength based on internal and external strengths and weaknesses of Chengdu itself and provide the policy suggestions for further central city development.(5)Strategies for Chengdu to become the regional center city. On top of above put forward the opinions of better and more effective suggestions for regionalcentral city construction based on the brief analysis of the internal foundation and regional environment of Chengdu and the conclusion of the empirical analysis listed in last two parts.
