The Study Of Chongqing Producer Services Employment Effects

Employment problem is the center of economics research. China with a huge population faces tens of millions of college graduates, migrant workers, urban laid-off workers in need of employment and reemployment every year. Faced with such a huge employment pressure, good promotion of employment is particularly urgent. Western developed economies have already entered the era of the service economy, and its development showed that producer services are the fastest-growing service sector. Producer services have become an important force and the main channel stimulating employment growth in many western countries. Chongqing, as China’s old industrial base, will have increasing skilled labor. Therefore, the employment effect in Chongqing producer services is very necessary.In this paper, based on a literature review, producer services employment mechanism were analyzed. After analyzing the current situation of producer services employment in Chongqing, direct employment and indirect effects of the various sub-sectors were determined, through the input-output method and econometric methods for producer services and. In addition, we discuss the employment potential of Chongqing producer services. Then we compare the national employment effects of Beijing, Tianjin and Chongqing. Finally, we promote the promotion of Chongqing producer services employment development of countermeasures.
