Well-being has become a high-frequency word since the two sessions in 2011. National Happiness Index(NHI) has become an important reference index of the development of China’s economic transformation. Private enterprise plays a significant role in the development of China’s economic transformation. As an important part of private enterprise, new generation employees’ work well-being affect the enterprise benefit, economic development and social harmony. This academic paper is in the perspective work well-being, taking the new generation employees as the research object, to research the composition of work well-being, and build the private enterprise evaluation index system of new generation employees’ work well-being. Then evaluate their work well-being, find out the weak link and put forward the promotion strategy of private enterprise new generation employees’ work well-being.First, arrange, analyze, sum up the gathered literature. Through consulting the literature related to work well-being, including its concept and structure, evaluation methods, and influence factors, to provide theoretical support for the research of private enterprise new generation employees’ work well-being.Then, to understand the status of private enterprise human resources management, the characteristics and management status of new generation employees, the game between private enterprise and new generation employees, then illustrate the importance of private enterprise new generation employees work well-being, which provide the realistic basis for the new generation employees’ work well-being evaluation index system.Study the influence mechanism of private enterprise new generation employees’ work well-being. Find out five factors that influence work well-being, which are salary and welfare, interpersonal relationships, organizational identification, job control and individual development. From two aspects, the satisfaction of needs and the realization of the goal, to illustrate the influence mechanism of private enterprise new generation employees’ work well-being.Preliminary build the new generation employees’ work well-being evaluation index system.Then, carry on the empirical research. First, design the questionnaire and take the reliability and validity analysis, and modify the index system.Then get the weight of the index system.Then evaluate the private enterprise new generation employees’ work well-being, do the correlation analysis, regression analysis,then find out the weak link for the further analysis, then do the variance analysis based on demographic variables with different gender, age, educational background, level, the average monthly income, marital status, years of work experience to analyze their different work well-being levels.The results show that:(1) the weight of salary and welfare, interpersonal relationship, organizational identification, job control, personal development is respectively 14.9%, 18.6%, 18.9%, 19.6%, 28.1%. The third level index weight which is shown in the paper;(2)Find out the weak link of the private enterprise new generation employees’ work well-being, including single pay structure, lack of organizational justice, lack of confidence to the enterprise development, lack of challenge, high workload and working pressure.(3) The level of the new generation employees has more influence on their work well-being. The gender, age and marital status have less influence on their work well-being. Organizational identification has more differences under different demographic variables.Finally, put forward some strategies to promote private enterprise new generation employees’ work well-being from the macro, meso and micro level.
