| The 21 st century is a century of ocean, in which developing marine economy and utilizing marine resources have become a new economic growth point in China. As a bridge tower of marine economy, islands have attracted increasingly extensive attention with the important roles and functions. During the large-scale development of island tourism, a number of rigorous questions have also emerged. Also, such conditions as the vulnerable ecological system and hysteretic infrastructures regarding islands have been restricting the sustainable development of island tourism. The carrying capacity of islands is one of the core factors that need to be taken into consideration in development. The carrying capacity of tourism environment is an important index of measuring the sustainable development of island tourism. Therefore, the theoretical and methodological research of the carrying capacity of island-related tourism environment is of great significance.Certain achievements have been yielded regarding the carrying capacity of islands at home and abroad. Specifically speaking, the method of multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation fails to thoroughly consider the randomness and fuzziness, which leads to certain questions underlying in the result of the evaluation. The superiorities of cloud model can actually solve such randomness and fuzziness effectively. This paper is mainly based on the improvement of the multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation based on cloud model. See the main content of this paper below:(1) The factors influencing the carrying capacity of tourism environment are analyzed. From the perspective of tourism environment, an evaluation index system of the carrying capacity of island-related tourism environment is constructed. Also, by virtue of analytic hierarchy process, the carrying capacity of island-related tourism environment is divided into three aspects, namely, natural environment, economic environment and social environment. The methods of frequency analysis, theoretical analysis and expert consultation are comprehensively adopted. In light of the practical situation of Lingshan Island, 20 concrete evaluation indexes are finally achieved.(2) In light of the uncertainty of the carrying capacity system of island-related tourism environment, factors influencing the carrying capacity are considered as a fuzzy system, in which weight calculation and fuzzy mapping are conducted from the bottom to the top layer by layer. Furthermore, the multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of the carrying capacity of island-related tourism environment is studied, and the weaknesses and strengths are analyzed.(3) In consideration of the fact that the scale of importance and the degree of membership determine that the two processes are under greater influence of personal experience and subjectivity, the improvement of the multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation based on the cloud model is proposed. By virtue of the numerical characteristics of EX, EN and HE, the randomness, fuzziness and discreteness are dynamically integrated. Thus, the result of the evaluation of the carrying capacity of island-related tourism environment can be more objective and accurate.(4) The results of the multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of the carrying capacity of island-related tourism environment and the improvement of this evaluation based on cloud model are compared and analyzed. The result of the improved multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation based on cloud model is more scientific and reasonable. Moreover, the grade and development trend of the carrying capacity of island-related tourism environment can be perceived, and certain relevant suggestions can be provided for the development of island tourism. Thus, the sustainable development of island tourism can be facilitated. |
