| The convening of the UN Climate Summit at Copenhagen Danmark in 2009 promotes the fast development of low carbon economy which has been a focuses issue arousing the global attention. In 2013 our country’s total amount of discharge of carbon dioxide reaches ten billion tons which converts China to a great country in terms of carbon emission. Therefore, it is necessary for the iron and steel industry to combine the theory of low carbon supply chain with the current condition so as to promote the implementation of management of low carbon supply chain and to establish the performance evaluation system of low carbon supply chain for iron and steel industry in order to conduct scientific and reasonable evaluation upon the condition of integral development of the supply chain of iron and steel industry. The study concerning the performance evaluation on the low carbon supply chain for the iron and steel industry shall play important role in improving the whole performance of supply chain of the iron and steel industry and achieving the smooth operation and management of the whole supply chain in the status of low carbon.Firstly, the paper analyzes the current research status at home and abroad,elaborates the content in terms of low carbon supply chain and performance evaluation of low carbon supply chain, then analyzes the supply chain of the iron and steel industry and points out the existing problems about the supply chain of iron and steel industry. After that, the paper introduces the content of index for the low carbon performance evaluation system of iron and st eel industry and builds its index system and model according to Catastrophe Progression. Again, Baogang is chosen as the case for studying and management performance of low carbon supply chain in recent5 years is selected for studying, after which the evaluation result is analyzed and provides new method for the performance evaluation of low carbon supply chain of iron and steel industry with the proof that the case was used to prove the feasibility of test model. Finally, suggestions on the performance evaluation of low carbon supply chain in iron and steel industry are put forward in combination with the problems existing in the supply chain of iron and steel industry. |
