Inbound tourism is the important standard to measure the openness of a country and an area and the development level of tourism industry, besides, to an area, it is also an important channel to earn foreign exchange and to solve employment problems. Its economic benefits, social benefits environmental benefits, employment and associated drive benefits are more prominent in the rapid development of tourism in the world. Nowadays, Zhejiang province, as the country’s fifth largest inbound tourism destination, inbound tourism has formed a certain scale, but compared with other tourism in the forefront regions, there is still a gap. In recent years the development of China’s inbound tourism appeared a slowing trend, this industry in Zhejiang is faced with new challenges and opportunities.This paper attempts to carry out detailed system research from structure features and space-time dynamic of inbound tourism in Zhejiang to find some regularity of dynamic change, in addition, on the basis of it, to dig out the main factors which affect the development of inbound tourism in Zhejiang and to put forward a specific suggestion. I hope the paper would provide a certain reference for the further development of inbound tourism, related departments of scientific decision-making and tourism planning in Zhejiang.This study also sums up the relevant research results at home and abroad, forming the relatively theoretical framework. On the basis of the selection of statistics from 1998 to 2012 inbound tourism in Zhejiang province which are analyzed in a variety of quantitative analysis method to extract valuable information effectively from multifarious data.The following three parts are the main sequence of this paper. First of all, this paper studies the time-space dynamic change of inbound tourism market in Zhejiang. By using the annual change, seasonal variation index, exit and entry tourist flow changes, the characteristics of monthly change and Zhejiang inbound tourism market structure are all analyzed and calculated.Second, this article also analyses the spatial and temporal dynamic changes of inbound tourism market in Zhejiang. There are all four steps, the first one is that using standard deviation and coefficient of variation to measure the general characteristics of differences; the second is using "Theil" coefficient to analyze the regional differences of time evolution; the third one is that using the "Gini" coefficient to analyze the regional difference of the spatial evolution and the last one is to analyze spatial structure of tourist market by clustering analysis and geographic concentration index.Finally, this paper expounds the development of inbound tourism market in Zhejiang province.
