Since 2009,M company mold department adopted new processing machinery with High precision and efficiency in mold development and manufacturing process, and in which positioning jig played an important role in CNC machining to enhance production efficiency.According to the statistical report from quality management department, between Sep-01-2012 and Spe-30-2012, there are 37.07% work time to do error correction of position jig damage in EDM processing.At present, each machine Hour Plan is 16 hours a day, but the invalid hours generated by the positioning jig is 5.5 hours, thus it deviates from the target of high precision and efficiency, and it costs up.n the paper, we will mainly introduce how to do improvement for position jig damage in M company, with DMAIC procedure of 6 sigma method.At first, studied 6sigma management ideas and methods, and went to do detail analysis to 6sigma applications at home and abroad.Then, carefully studied the current situation of the company positioning jig and collecting relevant data, moreover, on the basis of learning advanced experience from domestic and foreign relevant improvement aspect, therefore, we made out own operation flow and process improvement. Thus, Fully shows the effectiveness improvement results,through comparing the old data with new statistics.Finally, implemented improvement plan with updating the FMEA and control plan etc.6sigma implementing in positioning jig improvement project successfully to give eloquent proof that 6sigma method for solving M company positioning jig is workable and effective though suffering many trouble or some problem of long-standing. Above all, it to lay a solid foundation for positioning-jig efficiency and product competence.
