Under the global economic integration in recent years, the problem of industry security is gaining increasing attention, especially the food industry. Food security, energy security and financial security are considered as the three biggest problems of economic security in the world. Food security is the basis of economic development. The problem of food industry security in China has always been the strategic issue so that our government and the academia attache great attention to it, and it is also the focus of the world. As the important part in the food industry, the soybean industry has played an important role in people’s dietary structure and the development of the national economy. Its industry security will have important impact on our country’s food security. Therefore, this is the basic starting point of this article.China is the origin country of soybean, and has a long history in soybean cultivation. For thousands of years, soybean and its products have always been an important part of the Chinese diet structure, and they have played an important role in the reproduction and development of the Chinese nation. Besides, soybean is also an important kind of oil crops. A significant portion of People’s Daily edible vegetable oil is extracted by soybean. Therefore, the role of soybean industry in our country’s economy cannot be underestimated. As the origin country of soybean, China has once be the world’s most important main producer and exporter of soybean, meanwhile the output and export of soybean from China were the highest in the world. Since last 90 th, however, China’s soybean production and trade status began to radically change. Since 1996, China changed from a net importer of soybean to a net soybean exporter. Until today, China has become the world’s largest soybean importer. By 2013, the external dependence of soybean in China has reached 83.8%, which is a high-risk level. The domestic demand of soybean has to rely on the imports. In addition, foreign soybean processing enterprises use the raw material, the cost and price advantage of itself to monopoly China’s soybean oil. The existence of these problems have not only harm the fundamental interests of soybean farmers in our country, but also exposed the potential safety hazard existing in our country’s soybean industry chain.Based on the problems above, this paper uses factor analysis to evaluat the safety of the soybean industry comprehensively from the angle of the soybean industry chain. In particular, first of all, the author analyzes the present situation of the four parts in the soybean industry chain, which are cultivation- trade- procession- consumption. And then selectes the evaluation index based on the four principles of index selection, and the data collection. After all preparations were made, the author uses SPSS 19.0 software to conduct the comprehensive evaluation on the soybean industry safety through the factor analysis method. The evaluation result showed that the safety level of soybean industry in China has been in the trend of worsening after joining the WTO, and the safety scores decline range is larger, which should arouse sufficient attention. Finally, the author puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of China’s soybean industry safety and health based on the research. In this paper, the research significance is embodied in enriching the theory of domestic soybean industry safety research, and has important practical significance to promote China’s soybean industry safety and health. In this paper, the innovations embody in concluding the factors affecting the safety of soybean industry in China from dual perspective of theory and practice, based on the current situation of our country’s soybean industry chain and the latest data analysis, the author concluded the factors affecting the safety of soybean industry in China, and building industry safety comprehensive evaluation index system based on the research. In addition, using factor analysis effectively can avoid the subjectivity of human enactment right weight coefficient, contributing to a strong scientific nature. The deficiency of this article embodies in the uncomprehensive data because of the difficulty of the data acquisition.
