Study On The Fund Management Of Group Company

Fund management is one of the core contents of enterprise’s engagement in productionand business as well as the priority among priorities in the enterprise’s financial management.Especially for enterprise group, with the increasing of its subsidiary companies, enterprise’sfund management has become the key of enterprise’s financial management. There are manyshortcomings in traditional enterprise financial management system, which is reflected in thefund operation mode, supervision measures, etc. Therefore, it is imperative to improveenterprise’s fund management level.This paper first summarized and analyzed theoretical research results related to fundmanagement as well as domestic and foreign fund management modes, elaborated thepurpose and significance of fund management. Meanwhile, it studied the fund managementmode of enterprise group from the perspective of financial management. Based on sufficienttheoretical analysis, it took Tencent Group as the research object and carried out furtheranalysis on the fund management strategy of enterprise group through the analyzing methodof combining theories and cases. Tencent Group adopts settlement center mode as its fundmanagement mode. This paper carried out financial analysis on the annual reports of2006-2013, related announcements and other materials of Tencent Group, calculated andsummarized various financial indexes of Tencent Group with Excel, and elaborated status quoof Tencent Group’s financing, investment and risk management as well as the reasons throughsize comparison of various indexes in details. The result revealed that the company had moredebt financing and meanwhile more investments in merge and acquisition; in terms offinancial risk, since Tencent Group had more debt financing and there were muchnon-renminbi settlements, therefore, the group was facing with greater market risk. The studyfound that the settlement center mode had limited Tencent Group’s financing and investment,and had also increased its risk. Finally, this paper put forward relevant suggestions targetingthe fund management problem of Tencent Company.
