| With the improvement of reform deepening and developing of the economic systemof our country, the productivity growth is critical to our economic development. Asthe population of our country became larger, city’s employment situation is quietserious, graduate employment pressure is growing.Shanghai as the biggest city in China, its economy grows fast in recent years.Productivity can not only increase the efficiency, promote individual enterprises to theindustry, it is also a huge push to the whole city economy. Especially in the period ofeconomic transformation and industrial structure adjustment. How to improve theemployment situation is very important while improving the productivity.This paper aims to make an empirical study of Shanghai, research the relationshipbetween productivity growth and employment situation. Use the empirical results andthe present situation of economic development, make the policy suggestion on thefuture direction of the development of Shanghai.This paper will be divided into five part describes the main content: the first part is theintroduction, briefly introduce this research’s background and significance, make aliterature review and introduce the research ideas and methods. The second part ofpaper is analysis the productivity development status of Shanghai, make statisticalanalysis from the overall economic development, productivity amount and growthsituation, and make the decomposition of three effects on productivity. The third partwill make an analysis on the employment situation of Shanghai, from theemployment situation, three big industry employment elasticity and labor structuredeviation degree to analyze the employment of Shanghai. The forth part will analyzethe impact of productivity on employment, the employment effect through theoreticalanalysis, co integration analysis and VAR model to derive productivity. The fifth partwill be integrated the situation of research and make the policy suggestions on thedevelopment of Shanghai. |
