Assessment Of The Korean Japanese Investment Contribution In Korea

Due to the increase in the number of Korean Japanese, and after the immenseamount of charitable donations during the reconstruction period of the March2011Northeast Japan severe earthquake, the Korean Japanese have once again led thewide attention of the society. Currently, many scholars are analyzing andresearching on the migration history, living situation, corporate success stories, andliterature of the Korean Japanese. However, the studies in the Korean Japaneseinvestments in Korean economy are relatively rare. Therefore, this specific researchof the Korean Japanese investment contribution in Korea has great significance inboth theory, and in reality.Through arranging the domestic and foreign literature, the Korean Japanesecapital investment in Korea and technical support were found as inseparableelements of the initial rapid development of the Korean economy. This thesisfocuses on Korea and on the Korean Japanese contribution of investment, and it hasanalyzed several fields including the cause of investments and moreover, thespecific cause in Korea investment through analyzing the formation and investmentsituation of the Korean Japanese. For a more accurate and objective study and theassessment of Korean Japanese investment contribution in Korea, the researchfocuses on three typical positive business cases from the successful past largeinvestment firms’ cases; Lotte Group, Shinhan Bank, Softbank Group. These threefirms represent the companies that successfully operate by the Korean Japaneseinvestment. Through detailed analysis of these three companies’ business investment,investment process and management philosophy were analyzed, and moreover theappropriate investment contribution evaluation is presented.The Korean Japanese investment in Korea is a meaningful historical prosecutein Korea’s economic initial investment. The following results were shown throughanalyzing the overall situation and the cases mentioned above. The major cause ofthe enthusiastic investment of the Korean Japanese in Korea is the elements of adeep affection for Korea. In addition, the Korean Government’s request, theestablishment of the Korean Japanese Investment Association and other variety ofreasons also facilitated the investment in Korea, and it has greatly contributed to thedevelopment of Korea. The contribution of the Korean Japanese in Korea isimplemented in many ways. It includes the economic and technical aspects ofsupport, financial, capital, industrial support, educational and cultural support,social economic support, and etc. which are required for the development ofindustrialization. These contributions have uniformly developed Korea in the aspects of economy, society, education and etc. and overall development andprogress in Korea.
