| CMM is abbreviated from “Capability Maturity Model for Softwareâ€. CMMdescribes the key elements of an effective software processing, provides a multi-stepevolution frame for the processing capability of software, and points out the possibleroute to evolve from an undiscipline, immature software process to a mature one.R&D project emphasizes innovation. For various R&D projects, it is usually hardto make a plan, to estimate the workload, to measure the progress rate, to evaluate thequality, and to appraise performance. R&D project is similar to software project inthese characteristics. Both the R&D and software project are facing more obsessionsthan other kinds of projects. Especially, the maturity of team management woulddetermine the success level of R&D project.This paper uses R&D project team management maturity as the research object.R&D team management maturity model is studied based on the introduction of theCMM theory and method, and my own years experience for those important scientificresearch projects. Both theoretical analysis and practical application are carried out inthis work. Research clues are established based on difficulties in R&D project teammanagement and countermeasures. Innovation points are found, and deliverableresearch achievements are identified. Consequently the research contents, methodsand technical route are confirmed. R&D project team management capability maturitymodel elements, maturity model frame, behavior characteristic of each maturity level,the key process areas of distribution matrix and target, and maturity ascensionmechanisms are studied based on the theory and method of CMM, projectmanagement knowledge system PMBOK guide (), team management principle, anda thorough analysis of R&D project management team characteristics and its basicprocess. And the R&D project team management capability maturity model isconstructed in this work. The model is dynamic standards to improve R&D projectteam management, and to understand the management status in maturity system.According to this dynamic standard, the project team pertinently takes leveladaptation to make the team into the evolution stage of maturity system, and improvesR&D team management.The main innovation points in this work: Firstly, the R&D team managementmaturity model based on the CMM theory and method is designed. Secondly,mechanism is constructed for R&D project team to realize the transition from thestatic management to dynamic management. Finally, team management for nationalflat panel display major projects is studied based on the R&D project managementteam maturity model. Solutions to the practical problems in actual team managementare put forward in this work. |
