Face of the global financial crisis to national economices,ma ng countries haveput in the strategic transformationg.A new round of technological revolution will bekicked off,and the strategis emerging industries will become the new opportunitiesand commanding heights for national economic development in the world today.China’s strategic emerging industry is in its infancy, is able to grasp the opportunity ofthis new technological revolution development,and the ability to adapt to thetechnological development and the direction of the world ceonomy will determine ourposition in the international division of labor in the future. The development ofBeijing’s strategic emerging industries are in the lead in China with a role model,but itis also in its infancy. In the background of new round of technological revolution,there still have various constraints. aim to have a better and faster development forBeijing’s strategic emerging industries, we must base on the situation of Beijing toexpiore the appropriate development model for Beijing’s strategic emergingindustries.We analyze the concepts and characteristics about strategic emergingindustries.Based on this, we summed some significant characteristics about strategicemerging industries at different stages of the life cycle and summarize the typicaldevelopment model of strategic emerging industries. Combined with the status ofBeijing, we constructed growth ability index for strategic emerging industries basedon the factors such as industry scale, creative ability, economic performance, and triedto analysis the industry cycle stages using Logistic Model, putting forward somesuggestions for the government to selection the growht of Beijing strategic emergingindustries.
