Since the adoption of reform and opening-up policy, the large number of laborhave come to the Pearl River Delta, Labor’s funtion on promoting economic growthhas reached a consensus.The full content of economic growth includes two aspects:thegrowth in the number and quality of economic growth.Floating labor not only play apositive role in the PRD economic growth quantity, but also affect the quality of thePRD economic growth.There are the facts that people pay more and more attention tothe quality of economic growth, and Guangdong province has raised industry doubleshift strategy in recent years,and the economic growth mode in PRD has changedfrom extensive to intensive.In this context, research on how labor flow affect the PRDeconomic growth over the past ten years becomes significant.This paper starts from the two aspects of economic growth: economic growth inthe number and quality, and analysis of the impact of labor flow on the PRDeconomic growth in qualitative and quantitative.Finally,this paper arrived at severalconclusions:(i)The Human capital level of floating labor in PRD is relatively low, thePRD economic growth is switching from quantity growth to quality growth.However,the quality of economic growth is generally low.(ii)The contribution rate whichmeasures the impact of labor flow on the PRD economic growth in number is not high,but the rate of the technical elements increases greatly.The responses of economicgrowth coordination and growth efficiency to floating labor shocks are negative,whileit is a positive effect on economic growth result.
