Since China joined the WTO, a large number of powerful foreign freightforwarding companies entered the Chinese market; they have defeated most of freightforwarding companies in China with their global networking and advanced concepts,and squeezed the freight enterprise survival space in our country as well. Making anexample of discussing the development strategy of the S international freightforwarding company in this dissertation, the purpose is to help enterprises to identifythe current complicated competition environment, out of the embarrassing situation oftraditional freight forwarding business, to stay ahead of the competition.This dissertation is mainly under the guidance of business management theoryand the theory of competitive strategy, based on a profound analysis of the historicalstatus of the freight forwarding companies and the internal and external environmentfaced by S company, defined the overall development strategy of S company withSWOT analysis. On this basis, using BCG matrix to analyze the company’s existingbusiness put forward the development strategy of the company level, and finallyconcluded the enterprise competition strategy based on Michael Porter’s Five ForcesModel.Through scientific analysis getting conclusions as follows: S company does nothave a strong advantage in the competition, as the external environment facing morechallenges than opportunities. Therefore, the company should overcome their ownproblems through efforts to develop strengths. Based on the above, to determine theenterprise for a certain period should be the stable development of the traditionalbusiness, and expand the scope of services; to develop the third-party logisticsgradually after the accumulation to a certain degree; to ensure the smoothimplementation of the competitive strategy, S company should pay attention tostrategic customer relationships management and overseas network build; to builda modern logistics information system and professional training and the introductionof other important aspects. Hoping that through the study of S freight forwardersdiscussion, as well as the study of suggestions and strategies, it can provideexperience and reference to other freight forwarding companies in the sameenvironment.
