Research On The Effect Of Intra-product Specialization On China Manufacturing Technology Progress

Intra-product Specialization, as a new division model, with the development ofeconomic globalization, more and more deeply penetrated into the various countries.According to comparative advantage and economies of scale, the products are"cracking" into the production processes of different countries into different production,which constitutes the basis of the production chain, with upstream and downstream R&Dsales, and service in different areas, by the trade in intermediate goods fromprocurement through production structure of the network. China’s manufacturing industryis in this trend, with the labor and resources, as well as our potential market capacity,rapid integration into the Intra-product Specialization. Intra-product Specialization invarious countries, the penetration of networks, resources and contribute to elements ofthe United States within the framework of a global optimal configuration, full use ofdifferent countries （regions） of the factor endowments and comparative advantages, toachieve complementary division to gain the maximum output and profits, enhance theoverall well-being. With the transfer of products in different countries, implicit in theproduct technology transfer is also carried out in different countries, and along with thetransfer process, technology spillover occurred at the local, participation in Intra-productSpecialization of technological progress to promote the growth.In this paper, the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods,Intra-product Specialization as the research background, systematic exposition of theproduct content within the Intra-product Specialization combined with the internationaldivision theory and the theory of global value chains; with the production ofmanufacturing intermediate goods sector and trade of products of China within theIntra-product Specialization in the manufacturing sector level, select the importpenetration and export ratio as an indicator of export manufacturing in the Intra-productSpecialization within the nodes in the network status; use of C-D production functionmodel, the use of on front2.0software to calculate the sub-sectors of manufacturing andthus decomposition of total factor productivity technical efficiency and technologicalprogress, technological progress on growth in China’s manufacturing industry has aclear understanding of the situation; Moreover, the general pattern of progress throughtechnology to analysis within the Intra-product Specialization involved in productmanufacturing and technological progress on the effects of mechanism; Finally, set mathematical models and quantitative analysis methods, analyses the effect oftechnological progress by the product of Intra-product Specialization on themanufacturing industry in China.
