With the advent of the era of the information economy and the process of globaleconomic integration, technological upgrading and product upgrading faster and faster, thegrowing shortage of resources of the enterprise, factor costs continued to rise, coupled withthe enterprise more and more intense competition between, the problem of environmentalpollution is becoming more and more serious, all of these are for business management andpractice are put forward higher demands and challenges, how to promote the enterprises tobuild and enhance the capability of independent innovation in order to effectively, achievecompetitive advantage, has become the common focus of the academic circle and practicecircle. This paper constructs the "exterior network relations-absorption capacity of enterpriseinnovation" the theoretical model, based on the questionnaire of274small and mediumenterprises in Guangdong area, using the literature research methods, theoretical researchmethod and empirical research method, obtained the following results:(1) the relationship between the external network have significant positive effects onabsorptive capacity.(2) absorptive capacity has significant positive impact on enterpriseinnovation.(3) the relationship between the external network have significant positive effecton enterprise innovation.(4) absorptive capacity plays a partial mediating role in therelationship between the external network and enterprise innovation. Although the absorptionability in the meantime just played a part intermediary role, but the absorption ability has animportant role in the path between the external network and enterprise innovation. The studyalso found that the following new ideas: the enterprise and the supplier/customer relationshipand the government through the absorption ability of the path intermediary role, influence onthe enterprise innovation is not significant; while the enterprises and universities/researchinstitutions through the absorption ability of the path to enterprise innovation intermediaryrole, significant impact is not significant on knowledge application ability; enterpriseinnovation; knowledge acquisition and digestive ability on innovation is significant. In this study, the absorption of external network relationship, ability and innovation intoa research framework, through questionnaires and empirical analysis method, acomprehensive analysis of the relationship between external network influence on enterpriseinnovation, and absorptive capacity in the role play mechanism and path of this effect, hopethat through the study of the new model the reasonable explanation on the study, makerelevant external network relationship of previous income on enterprise innovation from different point of view. Through this research,(1) theory: theory system not only to enrich andimprove the external networks, enterprise innovation, and external network relationship onenterprise innovation effect, but also provide valuable reference for the improvement andpromotion of absorptive capacity theory.(2) the practice for Guangdong Province: bothenterprises (including enterprises in other regions) how to learn and absorb the externalnetwork knowledge to build and develop the ability of independent innovation, to provide auseful reference to improve the international competitiveness, but also for the localgovernment should formulate system when how to promote and enterprise network the localenterprise construction independent innovation capacity and international competitiveness, can be more effective in its development direction in line with national and Guangdong areato change the mode of economic development and accelerate industrial transformation andupgrading of the inherent requirements and provide valuable.
