The Study On Land Use Change And Its Human Driving Factors In Nanning

Land use change is the main reason for global changes and the research on influence factorsmechanism of land use change is the research emphasis and difficulty all the time. In short timescale, humanity factors is more important than natural factors for land use change.Taking Nanning as research area, using RS and GIS, interpreting the remote sensing imagesof Nanning in2000,2005and2010, spatial distribution map of land use in the three years havebeen interpreted. On this basis, land use changes were analyzed using ArcGIS, which weretemporal and spatial variation of land use structure, the transfer change of land use, dynamicchange and degree change of land use. Based on socio-economic statistical indicators, usingqualitative and quantitative analysis methods, human drive factors of land use change werestudied. The results showed that:(1) The quantity and structure of land use in Nanning have changed a lot, construction landand garden were on the rising trend, forest land and water were on the rise with fluctuations, andplough and unused land were on the downward trend. On the transfer directions of different landclassifications, plough mainly transferred to construction land, forest land and garden; gardentransferred to plough; forest land transferred to plough and unused land; construction landtransferred to plough and garden; unused land transferred to plough and forest land; the watertransferred little. On the transfer speed of different land classifications, the transfer speed ofgarden and unused land were relatively high, garden and the increase speed of construction landwere also high. The land use degree had changed a lot; land utilization degree in each area wasimproved.(2) The human dimensions of land use change in Nanning were population factor, the levelfactor of economic development, urbanization and industrialization factor, industry structureadjustment factor using principal component analysis. And multiple regression models betweenarea rate of land use and impact factors were established by multiple linear regression analysis.The results showed that the effect of each impact factor was different for land use change inNanning, population factor exert the greatest influence, industry structure adjustment factor andlevel factor of economic development exert the greater influence, urbanization andindustrialization factor had a little effect.(3) Existing problems of land use change process in Nanning are summarized: the speed ofland use change is fast and land resources shortage become obvious; construction land demand isstrong and land efficiency level need improve; less land per capita possession of resources andagricultural land efficiency level is low; the phenomenon of land degradation is still existing and land ecology in partial regions is fragile. And controlling countermeasures of land use change forabove for problems are proposed: controll city size strictly and reduce the pressure on land;accelerate the construction of industrial parks and enhanced land intensive use level; cogentprotection farmland and development and promotion agricultural technology;ensure landecology safety and realize land ecology utilization; monitore and manage dynamic land changeusing RS and GIS.
