The Inspiration To China By International Catastrophe Insurance System

Along with the development of human beings, the disaster never stopped its step to destroy our society, nowadays; despite of the rapid development of the global economy and technology, we could not stop the occurrence of disasters still. Especially in the21st century, a wide range of worldwide catastrophe appeared, which increased the frequency of the occurrence of disaster, and most of headlines in the newspaper every day talked about series such events as floods, earthquakes, tsunamis and the other catastrophes. Just as the writer Su Yan said, the whole world had transferred to the quake mode, which was called "catastrophe age."China’s had been badly affected by the quake mode, a great many disasters happened during the Wenchuan earthquake and Lushan earthquake, and thousands of people lost their loved ones or even home forever in these disasters. Human beings were very weak when faced the disaster, which made a powerful disaster management system was particularly important in need. While our country’s disaster management system was not so mature that it could not play its due role to give effective help to the affected population. On the other hand, some foreign countries already had a relatively complete system of disaster management to help them to face different disasters successfully, which would provide some constructive experience for us to study.This paper will start from The Great East Japan Earthquake, and make comparative analysis of the disaster management system between those countries which already have a mature disaster management system such as America, Japan, France and some other countries, then combine with the specific measures we take in the disaster and its result to give some suggestions to China’s t disaster management system.
