The Nature Of Entrepreneurial Work

In this thesis, I researched the nature of entrepreneurial work and the international comparison of the nature of entrepreneurial work. The main body of this thesis can be divided into two parts. The first part is the conceptual framework. In the literature review, I studied and analyzed the theories of the entrepreneur, the nature of entrepreneurial work and the international comparison of the nature of entrepreneurial work. The second part is the field study. I selected four entrepreneurs from Italy and China, and made a cross comparison of the nature "Complexity of Interpersonal Networks" of entrepreneurial work.In the empirical research, based on Prof. Kai Yao’s International Comparison Model of the nature of entrepreneurial work, I used a specific modified comparison model of the nature of entrepreneurial work for Italian and Chinese entrepreneurs and interviewed and surveyed four entrepreneurs from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the catering industry to get the comparative results of the nature "Complexity of Interpersonal Networks". The four selected entrepreneurs in the cross comparison are two Italian entrepreneurs and two Chinese entrepreneurs. Among them, one Italian entrepreneur and one Chinese entrepreneur run their business in Italy and the other two run their business in China. Hence, compared with other normal comparison methods, the cross comparison showed us a more logical and clear comparative result.
