Agricultural Labor Force Structure Of Western Part And Its Impact On Agricultural Productivity

Since the reform and opening, the transference of rural labor come to be normal, createdconditions for China’s economic development. the transference had a huge positive effect, butalso caused a series of problems to the agricultural production and agricultural labor forcestructure. Existing researches mainly from a certain aspect of agricultural labor forces, andstudy its influence on agricultural productivity. From the whole agricultural labor force, thispaper studies the western agricultural labor force structure status and its influence to theagricultural productivity. the main research contents are the following several parts:The paper reviews the related literature theory about the present situation of agriculturallabor force structure and its influence and the influence factor of agricultural productivity. theexisting literature study of agricultural labor force structure from a single point, and there isno unified view, so the paper put forward an overall understanding of the thinking of theagricultural labor force structure. In view of the agricultural labor force structure to theagricultural productivity effect, this paper review and comb theory about influence factors tothe agricultural productivity and labor transference, laid a theoretical basis for this article.Thesecond part uses survey data of peasant household survey from8countries of shaanxi, ningxia,sichuan provinces to study the present situation of the western labor structure. The researchhas shown that China’s western region rural left-behind in short supply in the number ofagricultural labor force; In the age structure is big, old labor; Women is more and the structionis partial feminine gender structure; Low degree of culture and shortage of high-levelpersonnel.The third part uses the stochastic frontier analysis model, calculate the sample rateof farmers agricultural productive technical efficiency, the study found that the sampleaverage households production technical efficiency is0.605, the overall production efficiencyis not high, the actual output and the production frontier there is a big gap. Sample farmersagricultural inputs in short supply, increase crop planting area, increase the labor input,increase in the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, farmers agricultural income level can significantly improve sample.The fourth part based on the analysis of the previous twochapters, this paper uses regression model estimates the impact of agricultural labor forcestructure on agricultural productivity. The results shows that the agricultural labor force has apositive effect on agricultural productivity, increase the number of agricultural labor force,can improve agricultural productivity in the western region; Agricultural productivity declinewith the increase of the proportion of women in agricultural labor force, the agricultural laborforce women partial will produce adverse effect to the agricultural productivity; Ageing laborforce accounted for this explanation variable of the family agricultural labor force to theagricultural productivity is negative, the influence of aging labor accounts for the greater theagricultural labor force is more adverse to the agricultural productivity; Fixed number of yearof the agricultural labor force by the highest education a variable with a positive impact onagricultural productivity, and suggests that family farm labor by fixed number of year of theeducation, the greater the highest the easier it is to increase agricultural productivity. whethersomeone of agricultural labor can operate agricultural machinery will have a positive impacton to the agricultural productivity, so the more people to master new technology inagricultural labor force, the more to improve agricultural productivity.this paper put forward some suggestions. We should improve rural living environmentand agricultural production conditions, to attract labor engaged in agricultural production;also should accelerate reform of the land system, establish a reasonable land circulationsystem, to promote the reasonable distribution of the resources; strengthen the training of theelderly and women, making them to be able to do the modernization of agriculturalproduction requirements; we also should establish the healthy rural social endowmentinsurance system and so on...
