Research On The Contribution Of Land Consolidation To The Cultivated Land Protection In Shannxi Province

Cultivated land resources are the basis for human survival and development, but also theimportant resources to economic and social development. In our country, the resourcesreducing day by day and the overall quality is not high, the contingent resources is limited.How to conduct effective protection of farmland has been widespread concern. Landconsolidation is widely used because it is a effective to increase cultivated land area andimprove land conditions and regulate land use structure which is meaningful to cultivatedland protection. It is good for guiding land consolidation project to know the relationshipbetween land consolidation and cultivated land protection and to know the way landconsolidation influencing the cultivated land protection.As the main plant production center, the Shaanxi province facing both the rapid progressof urbanization, but also bear an important responsibility to protect farmland. So it is difficultto reach the goal of cultivated land protection under the pressure of the increasing demand ofthe construction land. This paper take the province as an example to find problem basing onanalyze for current situation of cultivated land using and land consolidation. Then select theappropriate indicators and measurement methods to quantify the ability to regulate gapbetween supply and demand base on increase in cultivated land remediation area, improve theability to regulate the quality of arable farmland; Finally, combined with the correspondingindex calculation and conversion to get the contribution to ensuring food security andpromote the integrated value realization.The main conclusions are as follows: first, land remediation can effectively increase theeffective area of cultivated land, and mainly formed from the promotion of the scale of arableland, as well as enhance the overall production capacity of attention to ecological value andachieve sustainable use of the three angles to meet the inherent requirements of farmlandprotection; Second, by increasing arable land remediation, improve the quality of arable farmland to regulate the supply and demand gap, to achieve the purpose of protection ofarable land, but to improve the quality of arable farmland for the ability to regulate supply anddemand gap is significantly larger than the increase in cultivated area for arable ability toregulate supply and demand gap. And the underlying factors of agricultural consumptionstructure, the structure of land for arable land remediation and other interested ability toregulate supply and demand gap impact; Third, the ability to increase arable land remediationin three directions are different, the smallest increase in the coefficient of arable landconsolidation direction, land reclamation and land development to increase the value of thecoefficient value of farmland considerable size.
