The major source of increasing atmospheric carbon concentration is the change of land use type caused by the human activities. Land, is not only the natural carrier of terrestrial ecosystem carbon, but also the space vector of man-made carbon source; land use type changes human productive lifestyle as well as brings immeasurable and indirect carbon emissions. Therefore, under the circumstance of even severe global greenhouse effect, it is important to seek cooperation on carbon emissions reducing and to achieve this target by adjusting land-use planning, which will have important strategic significance to seek sustainable economic and social development for the low carbon economy development in our country. In this paper, we will take Jincheng City as the research object, use the TM images in the years of1991,2002,2007,2011, collect the type of land use remote sensing information on assistance of tool GIS to analyze the land ues type change of Jincheng City from1991to2011, and predict the change of land use type in years2015to2025applying the Markv mode. We have estimated the carbon sinks ecosystems in Jincheng City from1991-2025utilizing the above research result and carbon density method. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)By extracting land use classification and information of remote sensing image of Jincheng City in years of1991,2002.2007,2011with the tools of RS and GIS technology and establishing the remote interpretation signs based on different morphological features in remote sensing image, we classified the land use type of Jincheng City into woodland, grassland, arable land, water, urban village and industrial and mining land and unused land, on basis of which we have finished the four phase of the current land use map.(2)During the years of1991-2011, land use type of Jincheng City had changed significantly which included the rapid expansion of urban construction land and industrial land; the dramatical increase of green area:the different reduction of arable land, water areas. The proportion of each land use type keeps change while the area of each type changes.(3)The development trend of land use type of Jincheng City in2015-2025contains increase portion of woodland, grassland, urban villages and industrial land, a certain decrease in fluctuation of arable land and continuing shrink of water and unused land area, in which the portion of water area damps slower while the unused land quicker.(4)The amount of carbon sinks of Jincheng City ecosystems in years1991,2002,2007,2011are respectively11494.79million t,10937.11million t,11575.15million t and12072.33million t, showing constantly rising trends. The proportion of carbon sinks differs on different types of land. The carbon sinks of the forest takes the largest proportion, followed by arable land, grassland, unused land, with the percentage of62.05%,17.41%,13.62%,6.92%respectively. And the numbers could change in different periods.(5)The estimated amount of carbon sinks of Jincheng City ecosystems in years2015,2020,2025are as follows:15045.97million t,15885.99million t,16437.84million t, and will keep growing. The proportions of carbon sinks are respectively73.43%,13.07%,11.07%and2.43%from largest to smallest on different land use areas of forest, grass, arable land and unused land. As a conclusion, land use type change has a great impact on carbon sinks.
