The Research On Diversity Operating Performance Evaluation Of Private Listed Companies

In recent years, private listed companies develop rapidly. Most of the privatelisted companies adopt diversified business. However, theorists has not get unifiedconclusion on the relationship between them. Some believe diversification canincrease performance, some think diversification may decrease performance andsome think diversification has no effect on performace. Therefore, under the presentsituation that private listed companies diversified and the theoretical circle can’t forma consensus about relationship between diversification and performance, the study onthe evaluation of the performance of private listed company diversified is verynecessary and has very important theoretical and realistic significance.This paper based on the present situation of the diversified private listedcompanies, combining quantitative and qualitative analysis, determining theperformance evaluation index system through combing the literature summary andquestionnaire, combining analytic hierarchy process and entropy weight method todetermine the index weight, using grey correlation analysis method to evaluate. Thispaper divide private listed companies into two entities, that is diversification andspecialization management, select samples respectively and use the sample data from2008to2012as the foundation. Through the model to evaluate the performance oftwo types of entities, then compare the results, we found that the operatingperformance of specialization management companies was better than thediversification companies. But the two strategies have their respective advantagesand disadvantages. Based on this, this paper provide reference for the private listedcompanies and private economy and other economic entity for their choice ofdiversification or specialization, promoting the development of private listedcompanies and the whole economic and social.
