With the rapid development of the economy of China, the market competition isincreasingly fierce. The management model of power grid companies ever has failed tokeep pace with the development of the times. Therefore, it is an inevitable choice forenterprises to adopt an intensive management mode for the realization of the enterprisecollectivization, scale, and lean management. As part of human resources, materialsand financial intensive management in grid companies, financial intensivemanagement which will enhance the company’s financial control ability, improveoperation efficiency and benefit and realize the lean managements is an innovation tothe traditional financial management mode. The original intention of gridcompanies’implementation the financial intensive management is to improve thefinancial situation and enhance the enterprise core competence through unifiedplanning of the resources and rational operation. In this paper, on the basis of thepresent stage of the development of power grid companies as well as the interpretationrelevant theories of the intensive management, an overview of the status of intensivemanagement implementation has been provided.Make an analysis of the financial data of the State Grid Corporation and thebasic power grid companies, then do detailed research to the financial capacity indexes,and finally compare the change of financial indicators before and after the financialintensive management. In addition, according to the study of financial indicators,establish an evaluation system and evaluate of the company’s financial situation beforeand after the financial intensive management comprehensively. We find by the analysisthat both in the corporation and the company at the grass-roots level, theimplementation of financial intensive management doesn’t essentially improve thefinancial position of the power grid companies. Therefore, a discussion is needed onthe defects existing in the process of implementing the financial intensive management,some corresponding solutions will be put forward which will provide a reference forimprovement of grid companies’ financial intensive management.
