Research On The Relationship Between Social Capital,Dynamic Capability And Innovation Performance:Based On The Data Of Small And Medium-sized Pharmaceutical Enterprises

Abstract:With the coming of the era of knowledge economy, the rapidly upgrading science and technologies as well as the intense competition in the market make the enterprises on the verge of elimination. Under these circumstances, enterprises should keep up innovating in order to survive and maintain the advantages, especially those small and medium-sized pharmaceutical enterprises which live on the consistent innovation to survive in the complex market environment. Therefore, entrepreneurial social capital has gradually become the major motivation to elevate corporation’s innovation performance.In recent years, the entrepreneurial social capital and dynamic capability has become the study focus. Based upon the former researchers that many scholars have done a lot of work on the relationship between the two, this paper finds out that the entrepreneurial social capital is an important factor affecting the dynamic capability. In the meantime, many researchers have shown that there is a positive relationship between the two. Therefore, when analyzing the relation between entrepreneurial social capital and innovation performance, this paper introduces the variable:dynamic capability into the model and analyzes their contents from the perspective of knowledge management. And this paper further analyzes the intermediary function that the dynamic capability plays on the entrepreneurial social capital and innovation performance of the small and medium-sized pharmaceutical enterprises.The paper adopted SPSS19.00to do the correlation analysis and regression analysis on197samples and drew the following major conclusions:(1) entrepreneurial social capital has significant positive impact on innovation performance;(2) entrepreneurial social capital has significant positive impact on the knowledge acquisition and integration ability of dynamic capability. On the contrary, it has insignificant positive impact on knowledge innovation ability;(3) enterprise’s dynamic capability has significant positive impact on innovation performance;(4) enterprise’s dynamic capability can function as the intermediary agent between entrepreneurial social capital and innovation performance. Besides, enterprise’s knowledge acquisition ability and integration ability can both play a part of the intermediary role and the former plays more remarkably. Knowledge innovation ability, however, cannot do the same. At last, the paper systematically elaborated the major progresses of theoretical research and provided practical suggestions as well. In the meantime, the paper also mentioned its limitations and the prospects of the follow-up research.
