Due to imformation of patent represents the latest of science and technology, in all aspects of decision-makingof the national government, or the business decision-making will want to refer to the results of its analysis. With the growing of patent information, the traditional statistical analysis methods can not meet the depth analysis that people’s needs, which makes data mining technology has become the new darling of the patent information analysis. Data mining technology is to solve the problem that rich data and poor knowledge, it is an important research topic in the field of information science.The general method of patent information analysisis still the primary means. It is used to quantitatively analyze the external indicators of patents; and data mining techniques are used to qualitatively analyze the text content of the patent, which can be used to assist traditional analytical methods to analysispatent information more in-depth. Text clustering technology was first used in the automatically classify of news content, this paper studies the use of text clustering technology for patent classification based on content.This paper aims to the issue of patent informationanalysis for hybrid diesel engine. we first learning and researching general method of data mining techniques; thenanalysis patent information related to hybrid diesel engine worldwide use general method. We retrieve and filter the data of patentworldwide, get a more comprehensive analysis of the preliminary results. Finally, this article will use the text clustering technology in automatic classification of patent information based on text content for the system to get more accurate record results.
