With the deepening of reform and opening-up, China’s economic growth has alsoattracted the attention of the world, China has become the second largest economy in theworld. But our country since reform and opening up in1978, in the development process ofthese thirty-six years, one-sided pursuit of high speed, the pursuit of city, economic mode and"efficiency is preferential two yuan in urban and rural areas, the income distribution systemwith due consideration to fairness", cause income gap between urban and rural residentscontinued rapid widening. Income gap between urban and rural residents have a significantand far-reaching impact on China’s economic development, including the impact on theeconomy "three carriages" consumption, investment and exports, impact on the city and thetrade liberalization, to economic growth and economic efficiency and effect of the. Moreover,the relationship between them perplexing. Because of the influence of different historical,social and economic development of every area of our country, and between the differentethnic groups in the population’s overall quality, such as health status, the scientific andcultural level, labor skills were significantly different, and with the continued modernization,abuse of the regional imbalance, uncoordinated gradually, to the overall strength of China’sascension brings about serious obstacle. In this paper, combined with the statistical data inAnhui Province, Anhui province and comparative analysis of income gap between urban andrural residents and cause of formation, and the difference of income gap between urban andrural residents and consumer spending on the analysis of impact of income gap between urbanand rural residents on the population development. This paper mainly analyzes the incomegap between urban and rural residents through the negative influence of population structure,population quality of population development.
