Research On Development Strategy Of A Import&Export Company

:With the Reform and Opening policy, China’s economy has been in a rapid development stage for more than30years. China’s foreign trade industry has gained gradual recovery after the financial crisis as well as the manufacturing industry also got a rapid expansion, which creates a more favorable developing environment for China’s import and export industry.As a subsidiary of a state owned enterprise, A Import and Export Company Ltd.(herein after refer to A company) is a comprehensive trading company which mainly engages in import and export railway materials, iron ore import etc. This thesis takes A company as the research object, aiming to find appropriate and feasible development strategy through a series of analysis, such as analysing its internal and external environment, its developing status and studying on its strategic management.The thesis is divided into six chapters:The first chapter introduces the background, object, and methods of this research, and establishes the fundamental ideas of this thesis. The second chapter is the theoretical summary and brief introduction of strategic management. The third chapter is the main part of this thesis, which conducts internal and external competition environmental analysis of A company by applying PEST Analysis and SWOT Analysis. The forth chapter takes the analysis result into comprehensive consideration and establishes a development strategy system, including the overall strategic direction, operational tactics, functional strategy, etc. The fifth chapter argues the supporting measures for the implementation of the designed strategy. The last chapter draws conclusion for this thesis.The thesis, based on the actual situation of A company, proposes a3-5years’ development strategy and implementation strategy for A company, and hoping that this research will not only help A company to establish its own strategy but also provide some helpful reference to other companies in the same industry.
