Study On The Spatial Diffusion Of Tourism Flows In Small And Medium-Sized City

The rapid development of the tourism industry has also intensified insider competition. Small and medium-sized cities, which are not naturally advantageous in tourism resources, are destined to optimize the layout and structure of tourism resources in order to promote the development of tourism, and to improve the utilization efficiency of tourism resources is also essentially important.This paper takes Xinhua county of Hunan province tourism flows as the research object. By combining theories of tourism flows, through methods like sample investigation and statistical analysis, qualitative and quantitative analysis method, this paper will analyze the basic situation of the tourist behavior, characteristics of tourist flows in Xinhua County. Based on this, this paper will further study the diffusion law of the tourist flow in Xinhua County.According to above analysis and research, the following conclusions are concluded:the main purpose of Xinhua county’s tourism flow is to relax and enjoy the scenery, generally with friends and relatives together.the city center of Xinhua county’s tourism flow is Shang Mei town, mainly diffusing to the northwest.the difference between sex is barely noticeable, while differences among age, occupation, income, educational tourism flow is huge.according to the level of classification through Xinhua County, the tourist flow diffusion can be divided into horizontal diffusion type, and increment type diffusion. According to diffusion intensity, the tourist flow diffusion can be divided into strong and weak diffusion. The main path model of tourist flow in Xinhua County is the closed space diffusion model. While direct travel style spatial diffusion paths and multiple single station reciprocating diffusion path also exist in tourism flow diffusion path in Xinhua County.the higher the scenic spot or spots level and the grade, the higher influence to the scenic attractions of the space or the numerical diffusion vector intensity, the stronger the strength vector. Direction and path of each tourism flow diffuse space in Xinhua County are changing each year, demonstrating more and more balanced development trend in the area.In order to promote the development of tourism and improve the utilization efficiency of tourism resources in Xinhua County, this paper, according to the research results and practical situation, puts forward4suggestions to the government:play the guiding role, promoting the development of the tourism industry; promote the construction of tourism scenic area, excellent sites especially; strengthen the construction of the tourism facilities and establish correct development orientation on the base of market demand.
